Lily Ledbetter Bill is Law

No surprise – the Lily Ledbetter fair pay act passed both houses of congress and was signed into law. The clock keeps ticking a whole lot longer for unfair pay practice complaints now.   –nks

Wage Discrimination Bill Passes the Senate

The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 (S.181) passed the Senate on January 22nd and is expected to be considered in the House of Representatives this week.  The House had passed its own version on Jan. 9th  (H.R. 11; same title).

Factors Underlying the Decline in Manufacturing Employment – CBO Report

Health care costs threaten american businesses

A recent study by the New America Foundation reinforces the concern that health care costs put U.S. businesses at a disadvantage when competing with overseas firms.
